Come Ask Brandy Potter Some Questions

Introducing Brandy Potter!

This is what Amazon Author Central says about Brandy:

Brandy Potter lives in Maryland with her daughter and pets. She has been writing since she was 9 years old. She has several published poems, but Venemous Lives was her first published novel. Currently in development are a crime novel and a mafia story.

Brandy works in various genres including Sci-Fi Fantasy, Crime, and many others. She love characters that are fictionalized visions of the everyday people overcoming their conflicts. She enjoys watching people and observing their behaviors.

She obtained a Masters degree in Psychology in 2011 and has applied that to her character development. She likes strong female leads but maintains that they are strong in different ways. She also shies away from the industry pre-packaged protagonists. Her fans say that her characters are so developed that they often have a hard time letting them go and are always routing for a sequel.

She has a writers club that meets every so often and is often sought for advice from other writers. She hopes one day to teach creative writing or at the very lest to develop a writing workshop.

Her writing influences consist of David Eddings, Jane Austin, Rudyard Kipling, J.R.R. Tolkein, Nora Roberts and Steven King.

Hi, Brandy. Gin wants us to ask you questions and you seem pleasant so here goes.
    1. Have you ever committed a felony?
    2. Do you write because you are bored with your life, to make a jackpot or do you have something to save about our society?

    5. Is it part of a series or a stand alone?
    6. Do you think, when writing, of the written word or do you see your story as a movie?
    7. When you are standing in line at the grocery and some pinhead holds up the parade while they scramble thru their purse or wallet or the right change or to buy lottery tickets, do you resist the urge to slap them hard on the back of their pathetic heads?
    8. Do you begin building up suspense in the first chapter or wait until later while building up the characters and mood?
    9. When writing a sex scene, do you have a lot of lovey-dovey stuff and foreplay or do your characters just get it on like a couple of jungle monkeys?
    10. When you kill off a character do you think of it as just a character or someone you intensely dislike in real life?
    11. Dogs or cats or both?
    12. Do you think our country is going down the tubes?
    13. What kind of surprises do you build in your story to confound or amuse your audience?
    14. Exactly who is your audience?
    15. If you could have dinner with a famous person would you stiff them with the bill?
    16. What is your ideal writing environment?
    17. Do you plan to write in any other genres?
    18. If you knew a loved one committed a murder, would you immediately tell the cops?
